❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥Someone Asked Why?❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥

Super women took a nose dive into the ground. She hit with such force she was buried for weeks. A heavy equipment operator was called in by God. He dug till he found her. She was still breathing but emotionally frail.

He took one look at her and he felt something he has never felt before. So when God said take care of her and love her......he did. He tried to walk away but couldn't....God filled him with an abundance of all the qualities he already possessed and said use these now to help her grow to her full potential as one day you will need what she has to give......

So he put her on a pedestal and kept her dusted and polished for years. Everyday he would polish and shine her and gave her everything he had inside as God instructed.

As the years slowly passed........and she shined like the brightest star in the sky......(He did an awesome job).....but now he was slowly losing himself.

She asked God with tears in her eyes " where is he going?" God said "he is going back to where he first came. It's a long hard journey and he needs you to help him get there safely."

I will give you an abundance of all you need to help him on his journey back to me, for that is where he came from.

So to those who ask why? Because I believe in fairy tales...He is my knight in shining armor...... He literally guarded me with his life.....

Another Squirrel Bit The Dust

I've been putting deer tallow out for the birds this year. I put chunks in netting and hanging it on the trees. It's been so nice having the birds hang out. Tom and I both really enjoy watching them.

Than there is this pesky squirrel that has been hanging out. Literally. He's been ripping the bags open and running off with the tallow. Than Lilly, who never bothers the stuff in the tree, finds the chunks the squirrel dropped and eats it and than throws up.. ARGH!

He's only lived this long because the girls like to watch him and chase him..... But he pushed my buttons today when he ripped open a fresh new bag I just hung up....

I grabbed the riffle (.22) and let the girls out. They did what I wanted which was chase the $%^#^%$& (squirrel) up the tree. Oh man... there goes Tom... in the window...in the house... hollering at me....

I ignore him... I aim....I shoot and he drops (plop) out of the tree and Mag was on it like bees on honey. Crunch and it was history!.... " What Tom? I can't hear you!....HUH?.....??? : )

Well Mag wasn't giving up the squirrel so I let her bring it in the house and she took it to Tom and dropped it at his feet. There's this bond between them two or a conspiracy?

I still don't know what Tom was hollering about but he was smiling when Mag brought her trophy in for Dad and he said.." Good Job Mom... Got him with one shot"

Tooth Ache : (

We are still dieting... It was a relief to hear on the news that cutting back calories and exercise is the key to losing weight. That's easy enough..... the salad wasn't filling, let alone lasting. : ) Cutting back is easier.... and exercise?... well........ on again-off again best describes that.

30 below this morning! Yep, that's a bit chilly.... Tom had a toothache and needed it pulled but I didn't think the car was going anywhere soon as the block heater went out on it earlier this winter....

BUT I called 8:00 sharp and when I said it was" Mr Tom Olson" she said could you be here by 8:30.... Heh heh heh.......Well now... I'm always up for a good challenge........

I said "let me try start the car and call you right back"....... She said "okay"..... Well that poor old thing (the car) grunted and groaned and went puttttt putttt puttttt.........varooooom!!!!! I called her back and said "we'll be there."

"Okay... Tom....Get some cloths on and let's go." I threw on a hat.... oh yah... and some cloths and the way we went. Whew! To my surprise we made it and Tom didn't have time to freak out till he was in the dentist chair.....

I go in with him and do most of the talking unless he wants to.... But it takes the pressure off him and if he looks tense.... Well, I've been known to be able to lessen the tension with a little humor.... But than it also has back fired and pissed him off worse... so I usually test the waters first.

It took some doing to get that tooth numb and it didn't give up real easy when it was pulled. Tom said to the Doc> " Boy, you had a hard time getting it out didn't you?" Doc said.." Not really" "a-hum" I said.... "Tom, when he has to put his knee on your chest and strap your head down... Than that's a hard one to pull"

Doc laughed and said.."Boy, she's old school.. where did you find her?" ha ha ha ...

Oh did I mention when I got up this morning from a miserable night with Tom that I prayed for God to help me with this......After all it was Friday and 30 below. : )

D-Day AGAIN???

Today is D- DAY.... That stands for Diet Day..... I ran to town and bought salad stuff, lettuce, fresh veggies, fruit, gatorade etc........ When I got home Tom was SOAKING wet..... he had been on the tread mill and had some rope hanging in a door way.... No.......... it didn't look like a hang mans knot. It had a pulley on it and the bottom of the rope was tied to a bucket. On the floor there was cans of nuts and bolts. The other end of the rope had a handle like a ski-rope. Than I seen the wood/saw dust mess in the laundry room....... ARGH!!!!

My daughter Sanj said..."he did all that while you were gone?" I said "YEP!" She said maybe you shouldn't leave him home alone." Ha ha.... THANKS!

For super Tom made a lettuce salad with lot's of fresh fruit.....Normally the girls get half of what he eats.... Tonight they are hungry and are following me around. : ( I gave them a carrot..... : )

The last time we all did the diet and exercise thing......It lasted three days! I think?

Tom's Trip To Town

Well now! Today Tom took a trip to town with me and the girls... It ended up being shorter than planned but I knew it was going to be as he was already showing anxiety before we got out of the drive way.

The reason for our trip to town was to buy Tom a pair of boots as his other ones were patches on patches...... Also I was hoping to find a good deal with winter close out sales....

Tom goes to town so seldom, I like to treat him when he does...... like lunch at Hardees. Well today I asked if he'd like to have lunch at Dominos....Because we have two certificates for free Domino Hot Sandwiches..... He won these by listening to the Broncos play...... Third caller on first goal of each period wins a Free Sandwich. He LOVES doing this and so excited when he wins.

Well on the way to town he was making NO sense so I knew, Okay.... SORT TRIP.
We got him boots and he said.... "Take Me Home Now. I Have Had Enough Town!"
WOW! And we had the whole store to ourselves. I laughed at him and said.. "Dominos?"..........He said, "#@!!~@$%^&*&%^$W#" (Translation... Definitely NOT!! ) So we went home and he was really happy he has new boots and loves them. They are identical to what he had. :-)

####################################

So Tom and Mag went for a spin down 'n the woods to see how the loggers are doing. They are broke down and were working on the faller. That's the big machine in the picture.

Well Mag was sitting next to Tom who was talking to the guys. They dropped a hammer from on top the machine. Tom could see Mag seen it fall..... so he said. " Mag, go fetch that hammer" She dove under, got it and took it to Tom. Steve (one of the guys) said "you gotta be kidding" Tom said, "that dog will do anything I tell her" Steve said, "Don't tell her to bite me".... ha ha ha ha......

Mag always travels with Tom in the woods. The foresters and loggers and anyone  who knows Tom and his buddy Mag....... Well Tom says nobody gets to close...Mag growls and they back up....

A Ride In The Woods

Okay this is just too weird...All this rain in February! It's not making the occupants of this house particularly happy. Especially ME........ :-(

Before the weather turned to crap, we had one really beautiful day....Tom and I took the girls for a long ride (on the 4-wheeler) in the woods, down a new logging trail.....The girls had so much fun smelling, running, being silly.....I'd get down and walk, run and play with them. I wished we could do that more often......

My laugh of the day was a "go figure" moment. Tom can't find anything that is right under his nose or he's looking straight at.... Part of it is a guy thing. Sorry, but ALL women would agree with this statement..... But also Alz. messes with what he's looking at and identifying what it is....thus can be looking at what he's looking for but appears he doesn't see it........

So this being said....We are driving down the trail heading home and the girls are skipping along and all of a sudden with no warning...Tom Stops..........He quickly puts the 4-wheeler in reverse and backs up.....Okay...I'm a little confused here. Before I could say...."what are you doing?"..... He say's "want to see something cool? Grab your camera and get it ready." Okay....... We walked over to the snow bank and he points in the snow and says.. "see the partridge?" I says..."NO!"

"Geezes Cindy"!!!! (that's what he called me before he started calling me MOM ) "it's right there"..... he points almost straight down in front of us....... finally, what I thought was a stick, half way out of the snow, was a partridge coming out of his hole...... I got a great picture before it flew off.... and I said to myself " GO FIGURE!"

"GRANNY"

Granny came to visit this past week. Her and Pam were out bumming for the day. It was good to see Granny....We miss her!

After diagnosis we use to go down and spend weeks at Granny's. The three of us and Mag had so much fun NOT doing a whole hell of a lot! : )

We played a lot of cards but the "shenanigans" that went on was what was fun! Oh we would laugh our heads off. We did a lot of munching but I think we wore off the calories by laughing. We had to take a nap after lunch just to have the energy and wit to go back to our games till super time.

The evenings were wind down time. Tom retreated to our bed room to watch sports and I would join Gram, watching her usual line up of programs.

Sometimes for a little distraction, Granny and Tom would do a little target practice out the sliding glass door. Mag liked to get in on this. If Scooter was around, than Mag had a little competition, Mag is bigger but Scooter was faster and a little more experienced.

Scooter is a Weenie/Terrier mix. Him and Mag were great friends. Than there was Romeo....Grams companion...(bird) Romeo always had to put his two cents in on everything. Romeo has full run of the house so he'd join our games on occasion. I don't have any proof....BUT I suspect that Romeo was signaling to Gram what cards Tom and I had in our hands......Granny is kinda sneaky that way?????

But Tom has declined since than and we haven't been back in over a year. He's sensitive to change and gets upset and confused easily. Thats not fun for anyone.

Tom functions at his best and does well by staying in his known environment, daily routine, undemanding, no expectations life which he often feels is boring......BUT when he steps out of his element, he gets mixed up, confused and scared........So than he decides boring is GOOD!

BUT yes...I miss those days at Grams.....I know she misses it too......... Our visits filled in a lot of empty time for her too....As she suffers from allergies that kept her house bound.

NOBODY will ever know all that went on in Granny's trailer but let's just say....She's a delightful, colorful, fun loving, fun living, imaginative, young person in that dilapidated body....... Who would have thunk! : )

Lilly Spayed

Yesterday 8:30 AM...Lilly, Maggie and I headed for town...Lilly had an appointment to be spayed. Maggie went with so she could see where I was taking her sister. I knew she would be really mad at me no matter what but I felt better knowing she knew WHERE I left Lilly.

I was right. All day Maggie glared at me. If looks could kill.......And if I went near her she would show me her teeth.........And no....she wasn't smiling. She stuck close to Tom but not at all her happy self.

Tom wasn't a whole lot better. He was mope-y all day but at least he didn't bare his teeth at me. : ) Yeah we all missed Lilly. Tom called two - three times to see how she was doing.

8 AM sharp this morning, Tom wakes me up and said..... "it's time to get up" I said "WHAT, I can't get her till 10:00." ........I didn't argue or try to reason. I drug myself out of bed. Made coffee and brought Tom his in bed. Than I seen his ashtray by the bed. Okay, so he was awake all night stewing ove
r Lilly. GEEZE.......

I went a little early and ran some errands before I picked up Lilly. She was happy to see me. They said she was a sweetheart......and all went well. And home we went.

Maggie was so happy to see Lilly and Lilly was all happy to be home and I walked into the kitchen and there on the counter, in amongst a big MESS, was two plates. On the plates were scrambled eggs, canned deer meat and cheese melted on top.
Mmmmm Looked pretty good!

THAN Tom picks up the two plates and says " look here my girls what Dad made for you!".......... Lilly and Maggie enjoyed their breakfast ....... of coarse. I'm thinking, where's mine?

I seen he made fresh coffee so I dug my way through the mess on the counter and found me a cup of coffee. Than I sat back and watch Tom spoil and baby the girls. He loves them so much! Than he admitted he called the vet to see if I had been there yet and they said we had just left so he whipped up the breakfast for the girls.

LATER.......Tom was talking to his sister...telling her how he made the girls breakfast..... I piped in and said "yah but NOT anything for me".... Toms face turned red and said "I didn't make anything for myself either" ha ha ha.... The look on his face when I said that was "PRICELESS"

February Already?

First of February... "oh my!" Where did the days go? : ) We've managed to stay busy the rest of January...

Sanj and Sal came out one morning and spent the day helping us get the cob webs out of the house. It wasn't something I could do myself and the project was too big for Tom to fathom. But I didn't tell Tom till the girls were here. He laughed when I told him what was up. He loves them both and their great sense of humor so the day was prosperous and FUN!

Tom hasn't cut his hair for a year and has a full beard. Well the day after the house got a going over he decided it was time for the beard and hair to go too. Took a few days for all of us to get use to the new look.

Tom always wore this hat in the house that he had removed the brim from to keep his hair out of his eyes. I noticed him still wearing it but figured he either didn't like the way I cut his hair or he was just use to wearing that hat and felt naked without it.

The third day after his hair cut he was watching TV in the bedroom as he does like clock work at 5:PM every night (the local news). He called me in there........ I said "what's up" He looked at me and said "I JUST realized I don't need to wear this hat anymore to keep my hair out of my eyes. Geeze..what a retard!" ha ha ha......We both burst out laughing together!
